About the Challenge
The Big Nottingham Travel Challenge is a great way to get active this May!
The Challenge is a friendly city wide competition designed to encourage you to leave your car at home and walk, wheel, and take public transport for more of your local journeys.
What is the Challenge?
This is your free online tool to get motivated and challenge yourself to walk, wheel and take public transport for more of your everyday journeys from 1st to 31st May. Follow your progress and win prizes and rewards for your efforts!
Everyone living or working in Nottingham can take part.
Compete as an individual, or take part with your colleagues and friends, set targets, and encourage each other along the way.
The Challenge is free, and simple to take part in. Log any journey whether it's your regular commute, trip to the shops or leisure activity, the school run, or business trip. Your journeys will count towards great prizes.
Register today and get ready to start making a change and getting active on 1st May. We will send you regular e-newsletters with some great tips as well as giving out prizes every week.
If you are working from home you can take part too! Record your walking, wheeling and running activities and journeys that you do throughout the week.
You can unlock discounts and rewards for reaching journey targets. Don't forget to view your personal profile dashboard regularly to see your personal goals and claim rewards when you have reached your targets!

Raleigh is one of the world's oldest and best-known bike brands. Established in 1887 here in Nottingham, we’re still based in our hometown. Whether you're a fair-weather fun rider or an everyday 'rain-or-shine' enthusiast, your new ride is waiting just around the corner.
Micro is the premium kids scooter brand. Over 1 million families scoot to school on one of their scooters every day. The brand is parent founded and run, B Corp and Carbon Neutral certified and also runs ScooterAid a charitable scheme to revamp old scooters and rehome them with those who may otherwise miss out.

Mammoth – A Climate Action Cinema is Nottingham’s smallest cinema, and it once featured in the Guinness Book of World’s Records as the world’s smallest cinema! These days, it is run as a community cinema and as a hub for sharing ideas about how we can all contribute towards a better, fairer, and greener future. We show films about nature, the climate crisis and other social issues, and we always have a discussion after the film. We have a little bar upstairs and 22 seats in the auditorium.
Lime offers shared electric bikes across Nottingham, providing a convenient, low carbon travel option that helps reduce car use and support sustainable city transport.
Nottingham City Transport is Nottingham’s biggest and award-winning transport operator, providing a comprehensive network of services across the city, 7 days a week.
Broadway is nationally recognised as the cultural leader for independent cinema, arts and technology in the Midlands.
